Stocking
The natural wild brown trout are augmented by stocking trout through the season, mostly over 12" in length. The Association is able to obtain excellent, well conditioned trout locally and also from the Kennet valley. Both brown and rainbow trout are introduced.

Catches and limits
The fishery 'average' is plus 2 trout per visit, of 1 1/4lb weight; 2-3lb fish are frequently caught and most seasons the fish returns include 5lb trout. Members fish to a maximum of 4 trout per day, with not more

than 2 limit bags in any 7 day period.

About two-thirds of the fishery is reserved for fly only and both wet and dry are successful. On certain clearly specified beats 'other methods' (i.e. worm, minnow or spinner) are permitted where access is more difficult and the banks well bushed.
